The arrival of the Peoples’ Champ caused quite a commotion in the national scene as health officials tried (but to no avail) to impose restrictions on to prevent unnecessary transmission of the dreaded AH1N1 flu virus which might have been brought by the PACMAN’s entourage.

However, as if above the authorities snubbed the doctors and just proceeded with his planned activities upon arriving in the Philippines. Mr. Pacquiao was even seen on TV hugging and kissing his children and getting close with fans as he went to church at Quiapo.

When asked about his decision to go home despite the imposition of the AH1N1 ban, Pacquiao told local reporters that it would be more dangerous if he stayed in America because a lot of fans will be wanting to get near him after defeating the “Hitman” Ricky Hatton in their title fight last May 3 dubbed “East Meets West“.

and his family has been asked by department of health officials to undergo personal quarantine procedures. However, the wife of , Jinkee expressed on national TV that they have no plans of doing so.

So what do you think about ’s show of indifference towards the authorities? Does it show that a man as popular and influential as has the authority to ignore sound health practices endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO)? Do you think this is good show for Pacquiao now that he is contemplating to enter politics again?

Speak your mind on the matter. Your comments about this incidence involving our beloved is highly appreciated.
