Ah1n1 Outbreak in the Philippines

It’s unofficial, we have an AH1N1 outbreak in the Philippines. The Philippine government has confirmed 36 new cases of AH1N1 on Sunday. This brings the total AH1N1 Cases in the Philippines to 147.

36 of the new AH1N1 cases in the Philippines were foreigners according to reports from the National Epidemiology Center. The World Health Organization has declared that AH1N1 has become a global pandemic.

Philippine authorities said they are shifting to a policy of mitigation which means that the DOH will now focus in preparing households and health facilities to respond to the challenges posed by AH1N1 in anticipation of more confirmed cases.

However, AH1N1 remains as great threat to Filipinos as we are admittedly not very particular about our personal hygiene. Stick around as we will be posting tips on how to avoid AH1N1.
